On February 17, 2005 TLC Vision Corporation ("Company") issued a press release announcing the Company will release its year end 2004 financial results on March 7, 2005. This Form 8-K, including Exhibit 99.1 attached hereto, shall not be deemed "filed" for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934, as amended or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that section.

TLCVision to Release Year End 2004 Financial Results

March 7, 2005 — Conference Call to Follow

St. Louis, Missouri, February 17, 2005 –TLC Vision Corporation (NASDAQ:TLCV; TSX:TLC), North America’s premier eye care services company, will release its 2004 year end and fourth quarter financial results on Monday, March 7, 2005, after the stock market close.

TLCVision is pleased to invite all interested parties to participate in a conference call during which the results will be discussed. The call will be held on March 7, at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time at 1-800-443-6324.
