CIBC WORLD MARKETS CONFERENCE

RALEIGH, NC, March 29, 2005—Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. (Nasdaq:SLXP) today announced that the Company will present at the CIBC World Markets Annual Biotechnology and Specialty Pharmaceutical Conference in New York, NY on Tuesday, April 5 at 3:45 p.m. ET.
