Amendment Description	This Amendment No. 1 on Form 10-K/A ("Amendment No. 1") amends the Annual Report on Form 10-K of Union Carbide Corporation (the "Corporation" or "UCC") for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2011 as originally filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the SEC) on February 15, 2012 ("the Original Filing"). This Form 10-K/A amends the Original Filing to restate the Consolidated Financial Statements to correct an overstatement of "Net sales to related companies" of $86 million in the fourth quarter of 2011 due to an error, which occurred in December 2011, related to the use of an incorrect selling price.
