Unico American Corporation Declares Cash Dividend

Woodland Hills, Calif. – December 7, 2009 – Unico American Corporation (Nasdaq: UNAM) (“Unico,” the “Company”) announced today that its Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.18 per share of common stock.  This special cash dividend declared on December 7, 2009 is payable on December 29, 2009 to shareholders of record on December 21, 2009.

The Board of Directors declared the special cash dividend after taking into consideration the Company’s current liquidity and financial position.
