     On October 5, 2005, Siebel Systems, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its preliminary financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2005. A copy of the press release, dated as of October 5, 2005, is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report and is incorporated in this Item 2.02 by reference.
