11. Business Segments

The Company operates in one segment, ophthalmology. The Company develops, manufactures and markets medical devices. Our revenues arise from the sale of consoles, delivery devices, consumables, service, and support activities.

Revenues are attributed to countries based on the location of end customers.

Other than the United States, no individual country accounted for more than 10% of the Company’s revenues during the three months ended June 27, 2020. Other than the United States, Japan accounted for more than 10% of the Company’s revenues during the six months ended June 27, 2020, representing 12%. Other than the United States, no individual country accounted for more than 10% of the Company’s revenues during the three and six months ended June 29, 2019. The United States accounted for 51.0% and 51.1% of revenues for the three months ended June 27, 2020 and June 29, 2019, respectively. International sales accounted for 49.0% and 48.9% of revenues for the three months ended June 27, 2020 and June 29, 2019, respectively. For the six months ended June 27, 2020 and June 29, 2019, the United States accounted for 49.9% and 50.1% of revenues, respectively. For the six months ended June 27, 2020 and June 29, 2019, international sales accounted for 50.1% and 49.9% of revenues, respectively.
