Option Exercises

For the three and nine months ended September 30, 2017, employees exercised options to purchase 50,159 and 863,511 shares of the Company’s common stock with net proceeds to the Company of approximately $0.3 million and $6.3 million, respectively. For the three and nine months ended September 30, 2016, employees exercised options to purchase 154,789 and 569,288 shares of the Company’s common stock with net proceeds to the Company of approximately $1.6 million and $5.0 million, respectively.

Restricted Stock Units

For the three and nine months ended September 30, 2017, the Company issued zero and 42,068 shares of the Company’s common stock due to vesting of restricted stock units, respectively. For the three and nine months ended September 30, 2016, the Company issued zero and 42,697 shares of the Company’s common stock due to vesting of restricted stock units, respectively.
