. . .Deposit Trends 15 (1) Deposit beta is calculated as the increase in rate paid on total deposits per quarter divided by the incremental increase in the effective fed funds rate since January 1, 2022.  Deposits grew by 3% QoQ; excluding brokered deposits, seasonally decreased by $46 million (less than 1%).  Mix shift in Q1-23 towards time deposits is driven by an increase in promotional CD’s of ~$500 million, helping to retain existing customers.  The duration on retail and brokered CD’s were 10.1 months and 7.8 months, respectively.  We maintain prudent price discipline resulting in an overall deposit beta of 20%. Excluding brokered CDs, our deposit beta totaled 12%. We expect deposit betas to continue to rise as the competitive landscape for deposits increases.
