SPACEHAB SATISFIES $1.00 MINIMUM BID PRICE; REGAINS NASDAQ COMPLIANCE

Houston, Texas, June 1, 2006 – SPACEHAB, Incorporated (NASDAQ: SPAB), a leading provider of commercial space services, announced today that it has received notice from the Nasdaq Stock Market that it has regained compliance with Marketplace Rule 4450(a)(5), relating to the maintenance of a minimum $1.00 bid price.

Pursuant to Nasdaq Marketplace Rules, the Company was required to evidence a closing bid price of at least $1.00 per share for ten consecutive trading days which it completed on May 24, 2006. SPACEHAB has confirmed that it currently meets all requirements for continued listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market and will continue being listed on this exchange.
