Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On August 12, 2015, the Compensation Committee of Asta Funding, Inc. (the “Company”) voted unanimously to grant a bonus in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, Robert Michel. The Compensation Committee awarded the bonus to Mr. Michel for his concerted effort to resolve matters with the Internal Revenue Service and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
