OYO Geospace Announces $14.0 Million Order for 13,000 Channels of Wireless Data Acquisition Equipment

 

Houston, Texas - April 9, 2012 - OYO Geospace (NASDAQ: OYOG) today announced it received a $14.0 million order from TGC Industries, Inc. ("TGC") to purchase 13,000 additional single-channel wireless data acquisition units and related equipment. Upon delivery of this equipment by the company, TGC will own more than 45,000 single-channel Geospace wireless units. The company expects to deliver this equipment during its third fiscal quarter ending June 30, 2012.

OYO Geospace designs and manufactures instruments and equipment used by the oil and gas industry in the acquisition and processing of seismic data as well as in reservoir characterization and monitoring activities. The company also designs and manufactures equipment and film for the thermal printing industry worldwide.
