From: ECNCGIRL@aol.com Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2003 4:21 PM To: rule-comments@sec.gov Subject: File No. S7-23-03 First I would like to thank the SEC Commission for finally addressing and acknowledging naked shorting in the market instead of turning a blind eye that has been turned for way too long. I know it must be a hard candy to chew on but it must indeed be chewed anyway because, we the people of the United States who's Generations of Men and Women who served this country are not going to sit back and let Naked Short Terrorists from offshore countries take our money anymore, we have had enough and the stuff is hitting the fan all over the place thanks to the power of the internet whom without we would not have tons of information to share with pretaining to this matter we can now see the light and its so bright I'm typing with shades on. I feel so ashamed of the people in power who allowed this type of stealing to go on right in front of our eyes while they sat there and did nothing for years upon years, at the same time I am very proud that we have the opportunity now to change the rules and the system and the wave of the future for the better for our children and grandchildren for generations to come thanks to a little man in New York Named Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, who if not for him we would all still screaming on top of our lungs without anyone hearing us, a silent cry of despair has turned into a bright light of song thanks to him. I do not want my broker to be able to lend my shares that I buy with my hard earned money to some two bit offshore terrorist so that he can short my stock into oblivion and never return the stock he borrowed while he cashes out and buys a Hummer at my expense. I do not want to discuss this any further than I have to but I think you get my drift and I hope for all of America's sake you do what is right For the same people who has been doing right for our Country in return, it is only fair and just and it has to be done for the sake of the future of our very own blood sweat and tears. Sincerely, Mary Anne Slowik Brooklyn, New York
