Subject: Profile Prospectus Date: 5/21/97 10:37 AM To Whom It May Concern: The introduction of so-called "profile prospectuses" is acceptable as a possible addition to the current required prospectus and additional information, but it would be unwise to accept it in lieu of either or both of those two documents as the minimum disclosure requirements before entering an investment agreement with an investment company either directly or through a sales/purchase transaction at a retail brokerage firm. Mutual fund shareholders are OWNERS with attendant rights and privileges and are not merely consumers to be manipulated with advertising. In effect, the snapshot profile is a promotional flier and not a contract. Thank you for stopping the madness. Bob Coleman investor@cyberramp.net
