In the Matter of the Application of STEPHEN FORBES COOPER, LLC; PGE TRUST; and ENRON CORPORATION |
: |
EXTENSION ORDER |
Enron and the Division of Investment Management together have requested a postponement of the briefing schedule contained in the Commission's January 14, 2004, Notice and Order Scheduling Hearing Regarding Request for Order Exempting Holding Companies from Registration Under the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935. We previously granted an extension of the time for filing briefs in this matter until February 9, 2004. In this request, Enron and the Division state that the postponement is intended to allow for Commission consideration of an offer of settlement. It appears appropriate to grant the requested postponement in the briefing schedule under the circumstances.
Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that the briefing schedule in this matter be, and it hereby is, postponed until further notice, on the condition that Enron and the Division of Investment Management shall submit a status report on the progress of the offer of settlement no later than March 8, 2004.
For the Commission, by its Secretary, pursuant to delegated authority.
Jonathan G. Katz
Secretary
