Scott Taub Designated as Acting Chief Accountant

Washington, D.C., Nov. 14, 2005 -Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox has designated Scott Taub to serve as Acting Chief Accountant for the SEC.

Mr. Taub has served as the Commission's Deputy Chief Accountant since September 2002. Prior to joining the Commission's staff, he was a partner in the Professional Standards Group of Arthur Andersen in Chicago. Mr. Taub also served as a professional accounting fellow with the SEC's Office of Chief Accountant from June 1999 through June 2001.

Mr. Taub is a 1990 graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
