Viatical Capital, Inc., d/b/a Life Settlement Network, Life Investment Funding Enterprises, Inc., Charles D. York, and Robert K. Coyne

On September 8, 2003, the SEC obtained a temporary restraining order, asset freeze, and other relief against Viatical Capital Inc., Life Investment Funding Enterprises, Inc., Charles D. York, and Robert K. Coyne. The SEC alleged that the defendants raised at least $61 million from more than 1,900 investors nationwide in a fraudulent scheme to solicit investment in various limited liability companies that invested in viatical settlements.
