Subject: ceo compensation

May 12, 2012

The SEC needs to protect taxpayers and stockholders now. Boards of directors of private corporations are incestuously interlocking, and therefore have a vested interest in keeping executive pay high. The SEC should require public disclosure of executive compensation packages, including stock option values. Annual report filings are not enough. In most states, one can find out the pay of public servants such as teachers; 'public' corporations (since they are 'people' according to the Supreme Court) should be equally open.
