Hello,
My name is Susan Peacock I am a Registered Pharmacist and also manage my and my husbands IRAs which are invested in the stock market.
We have been facing, particularly the middle and lower classes, great difficulties for the past 4 years. We live in a great country, but we are losing our beliefs about the value of hard work, the value of each persons efforts and worth. The most wealthy 1% seem to have lost all concern for anyone but themselves. This country was built on bigger ideas than this. Henry Ford is a great example, and the CEOs and upper management of many US companies would be better off ethically if they followed his ethics of hard work and pride in good work.
We live in a great country, but we seem to be losing our beliefs about the value of hard work, the value of each person and their efforts. I am appalled at the ridiculous amounts that CEOs are paid in the US! When so many people are unable to find work, the CEOs of too many companies make many millions of dollars annually (sometimes for substandard work).
This is unacceptable and must change. Please allow the hard-working citizens and shareholders of this country to know specifics about CEO compensation.
