EXPLANATORY NOTE

Suzano is amending its report on Form 6-K furnished to the Securities and Exchange Commission on August 13, 2020 (File/Film Number: 001-38755 / 201100284) (the “Original 6-K”) solely for the purpose of adding Exhibit 101, which contains Interactive Data File disclosure in accordance with Rule 405 of Regulation S-T. Except as described above, this amendment does not amend any information set forth in the Original 6-K.

This report and exhibits shall be deemed to be incorporated by reference in our registration statements on Form F-3 filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on September 18, 2020 (File No. 333-248909), and shall be deemed to be a part thereof from the date on which this report is furnished to the SEC, to the extent not superseded by documents or reports subsequently filed or furnished.
