Item 8.01. Other Events

On September 21, 2007, Paul E. Gulick, the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Planar Systems, Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company that he was resigning from his position with the Company effective as of October 5, 2007 to retire and spend time with his family.
