Explanation of Responses:

1. On December 22, 2022, WM International Holdings Ltd. ("WMIH") transferred its shares in White Mountains Investments (Luxembourg) S.a' r.l. to one of its affiliates, WM Birkdale Ltd. As a result of the transfer, WMIH is no longer a reporting owner under Section 16 in respect of MediaAlpha, Inc.

2. WM International Holdings Ltd. ("WMIH") indirectly held 16,039,998 shares of Class A common stock owned directly by White Mountains Investments (Luxembourg) S.a' r.l., a direct subsidiary of WMIH prior to the reported transaction.

Remarks:

On December 22, 2022, WM International Holdings Ltd. ("WMIH") transferred its shares in White Mountains Investments (Luxembourg) S.a' r.l. to one of its affiliates, WM Birkdale Ltd. As a result of the transfer, WMIH is no longer a reporting owner under Section 16 in respect of MediaAlpha, Inc.
