Item 8.01 Other Events.

On October 19, 2020, Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the authorization of its Clinical Trial Application by the United Kingdom Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to initiate its Phase 1 study, which will evaluate NTLA-2001 for the treatment of hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis with polyneuropathy (hATTR-PN). The full text of the press release issued in connection with the announcement is filed as Exhibit 99.1 on this Current Report on Form 8-K.
