Item 5.02Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

    As previously announced, on April 21, 2021 in conjunction with the 2021 Annual Meeting of Shareholders of Synovus Financial Corp. (the “Company”) , Kevin S. Blair succeeded Kessel D. Stelling as Chief Executive and President of the Company, with Mr. Stelling moving into the role of Executive Chairman of the Company. As a part of this transition, the Company’s Board of Directors increased Mr. Blair’s base salary from $695,250 to $950,000, effective immediately.
